The 2015 National Convention was held at the Copper Coast during March, and members of the Western Districts Angling Club acquitted themselves very well as part of the SA team.
While the big prize was taken off by NSW, South Australia performed very strongly, and this was due in no small way to the efforts of the Western Districts members who were the best represented in the SA team, with 11 active competitors. Well done to all.
Most successful of these was Carolyn Bryne who was runner-up Lady Offshore Champion, being outright winner on day 1 of this event. Carolyn also had the SA ladies top bag on day 1 of the Estuary Championships, and was a member of the Championship winning SA Ladies Rock & Beach team.
Keeping it in the family, Cory and Courtney Bryne were part of the Championship winning SA Junior Estuary team. Courtney was also a part of the Championship winning SA Junior Rock & Beach team, and received the Junior girls encouragement award.
Finally, Brian Wheadon weighed in the top bag for Veterans on day 1 of the Rock & Beach event.
