Western Districts Angling Club – A Fun and Adventurous Fishing Club For All

Western Districts Angling Club was formed in 1938 by a group of enthusiastic anglers residing in the western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. Today our members come from all over the state. We are regarded as a family angling club with the aim of improving our angling skills, while putting the emphasis on having fun. We meet on the Second Tuesday of each month from 7:30 pm at the Western Youth Centre, 79 Marion Road, Cowandilla, South Australia. Club meetings are social get-togethers where we discuss previous and upcoming trips, share tips, tricks and experiences, and just talk fishing.

The Club competed under trying conditions at the AAA State Titles held in the Barmera area this month. Competitors had to contend with very strong winds and flood water that made many places inaccessible.

Congratulations to Brian for his 9.95 kg Club Record  Carp, and to new member Paul, who was happy with  what he caught on his first outing.

Club members also won both the individual and team  championship titles for Ladies, Veteran men, Veteran Ladies, and Juniors.

The Club’s annual Christmas party was held at Barry and Faye’s and a good time was had by all.
